DC has no plans for the Legion of Doom film
Even if Warner Bros. and DC continue to move forward with new movies, the new head of DC Films Walter Hamada has already started to give the cinematic universe of the publishing house, his vision, also thanks to the good work done on Shazam! that helped get him the assignment.
One of the ideas that seemed to be a focal point prior to his arrival was the Legion of Doom. Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) and Deathstroke (Joe Manganiello) have already been introduced in the DCEU (see the scene “post-credits” of the Justice League), and the output movie introduce you to the other antagonists. However, it is said that all of the plans for the team of super villains have been slashed.
Revenge of the Fans reported that Hamada has completely abandoned the idea of the Legion of Doom. According to reports, this team would have been built for another important to the future crossover, but this is no longer in the program, at least not very soon. Hamada will focus for now on making every film/franchise of success and start to think of a crossover, a time that this will happen. If the Legion of Doom remains the objective of that crossover, there are still a number of years.
Also if the DC has never confirmed that it was preparing a possible Legion of Doom vs the Justice League, these were the rumors. The idea was that they would continue to introduce characters that could be involved in the group of the villain, as Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) of Aquaman at the end of this year. The next year, dr. Sivana (Mark Strong) or Black Adam (Dwayne Johnson) might be other candidates, along with Cheetah (Kristen Wiig) after her role in Wonder Woman 1984.
The future DC it seems, therefore, to refer to Wonder Woman as a model, the most successful films in this universe, that was a stand-alone story. This trend also seems to be confirmed by The Batman, with Matt Reeves, who probably will start again from the beginning with an actor younger.
