David di Donatello awards: Carlo Conti, live on Rai 1 for a special edition
A few hours ago Carlo Conti arriving in Rome for the evening of the David di Donatello Awards showed a picture of her in a mask in front of the studios. Surely she would never have imagined to arrive in the capital, and prepare for a live tv broadcast that will remain in the history. And that we can somehow define the tv to phase 2, with the experiments of the authors, directors, script-writers, conductors, and all the people working at the realization of a format. Somehow you will have to go ahead and you must do so in compliance with the rules, with maximum safety for all. With this vision, we will be on stage tonight. Carlo Conti leads the 65th edition of the David di Donatello Awards, live from Studio 2 of Via Teulada, Friday, may 8, on Rai 1 from 21.25), directed by Maurizio Pagnussat.
The most important evening of our cinema decided not to stop and it presents, for the first time, in a version that is more digital than in the past with the objective to launch a message that is positive, strong and authoritative, in support of the revival of the Italian cinema, emphasizing the centrality from the point of view of the cultural, economic, and occupational.
The 65th edition of the David di Donatello Awards on the flagship network Rai will take place, therefore, through an innovative formula that will see the great protagonists of Italian cinema to participate in the ceremony through live connections, always respecting the provisions of the law. It will be an edition that will combine respect for tradition with a look confident towards the future.
In this context, Rai Movie will broadcast in simulcast with Rai 1, while, on the profile Instagram channel, Alberto Farina and Paola Jacobbi discuss the evening's live and will be visible even for italians abroad on RaiPlay.
In the course of the evening, will be delivered twenty-five David di Donatello and the David Special, which this year will go to an icon of the show and of the Italian culture, Franca Valeri, capable of revolutionising the comedy and the feminine image from the second world war, through the invention of a long series of memorable characters.
The David of the Spectator this year will go to The First Christmas, directed and performed by Salvo Ficarra and Valentino Picone. The recognition is awarded to the film most watched by the public in the Italian cinemas, among those out in the hall by 31 December 2019.
One hundred years after its birth, the Academy of Italian Cinema will celebrate two of the greatest players in the history of Italian cinema, Federico Fellini and Alberto Sordi. The director, five-time academy award winner will be remembered through the words and anecdotes of the great roman actor, with whom he shared the beginnings, the artistic life and experiences on-set for films like The white sheik and I vitelloni. The events and incidents of the life and career of Alberto Sordi will, instead, be entrusted to the contributions of performers such as Paola Cortellesi, Christian De Sica, Sabrina Ferilli, Alessandro Gassman, Luciana Littizzetto, Leonardo Pieraccioni, Vincenzo Salemme and Carlo Verdone.
