Crisis On Infinite Earths, which is why Brandon Routh played again Superman
Brandon Routh has returned to his role of Superman in the crossover “Crisis on Infinite Earths” of The CW. But the actor said to have had a definite request before accepting to appear again as the character he played in 2006 in Superman Returns.
“I wanted to make sure it was the same character, the same version of Superman, or at least quite similar,” said Routh in an interview with Den of Geek. “As we know, now, with several movies and stories and comics that have come out in all these years, there are several ways to approach the character.”
“I wanted to make sure that ideally it was the same character Superman Returns,” continued Routh. “And, if not, there was still the same idea of who he was Superman, in his deep. This was important to me. Because I was not necessarily interested in interpreting a different version”.
Many thought that the days as Superman Routh were stored, including the same Routh. Instead, the actor is back in the DC Universe in 2014 to play the role of Ray Palmer/The Atom in the Arrowverse The CW. Routh plays The Atom in “Crisis”, which will return after the winter break on Tuesday January 14, with Arrow and with DC''s Legends of Tomorrow.
