The manager Apple has also explained that a lot of in-house programmers at Apple are excited about using Swift: “The team that works with iCloud has started to use Swift for many of its projects, while the programmers of OS X are working to convert their to the Swift. The different teams, I recognize what is practical and what is not, and find a way to use Swift where it can”.

Federighi, has confirmed that one of the advantages of Swift Open Source is the ability to teach it easily in schools around the world, since the programming may be the future of many guys. The negative points of this choice? For Federighi, none: “Apple has wanted to make this open source language for use in many contexts, also external to Apple, and not related to our business”.
