Unfortunately, the spy story of Howard the Silk ends here... maybe. The creator Justin Marks made the announcement on Twitter that the channel cable Starz has deleted Counterpart of the second season. He then pursued, not losing all hope in a time of streaming and other ways to continue a tv series:

“It's been an absolute dream for this team. We were able to do EXACTLY the serial that we want. Perfect Cast, crew perfect on two continents. And we are thankful to our network for the time that we had... Thanks to all those who have made this trip for us. Your tweet, podcast, conspiracy theories have made sure that it was worth it. Fingers crossed that our wonderful production studio, MRC, find a way to keep the dream alive”

Counterpart is airing currently in the Us with the second season, the finale was not written to be a series finale. Unfortunately In Italy the series is still unpublished, despite the american critics have praised (and us, putting it in first place among the series of the year that has just ended) and the ratings were a normal cable. With J. K. Simmons in the big sweep, and in a dual role (not only him of the rest, including our own Sara Serraiocco in the role of badass) the show taken from the novel of the same name tells the story of a world that at a certain point in the Story, it is divided into two, and then by creating for each person, thing, city, a “counterparty”, a “eco”. When the character of Simmons, Howard Silk, entangled, nothing will be as before, and conspiracies, espionage, the twists will only be the tip of the iceberg of what our world (and also the other world) hides.
