Conan: the Marvel will launch two other series

Published on Sep 30, 2018

During the Heroes With Madrid 2018 of last weekend, the editor-in-chief of Marvel comics, C. B. Cebulski, held a press conference where he spoke to 360° of its new role, the relaunch of X-Men and Fantastic Four, Star Wars and, of course, Conan – the license that Marvel has recently reacquired by Dark Horse after having successfully managed in the years ’70, with the series written by Roy Thomas and Barry Windsor-Smith, who begat a number of impressive spin-offs like the Savage Sword of Conan, King Conan/Conan the King, Conan the Adventurer and Conan the Savage.

Cebulski has confirmed that in addition to the already announced the Conan The Barbarian of Jason Aaron and Mahmud Asrar, will be launched two other series that will start respectively in February and march.

This is Savage Sword Of Conan and Age Of Conan.

Of course, not yet been announced the creative teams but some indiscretion, could arrive in a few days during the New York Comic Con.

From the words of Cebulski shines through, however, the intention to manage the franchise of Conan along the lines of the Star Wars.

Remember that Conan The Barbarian will start in January in the USA, these are the declarations of Jason Aaron:

“I am preparing for this assignment, literally, from when I was 13 years [...] I devoured anything Howard had, and I have always created my own stories about the character. Finally I now have the ability to implement them together with the great Mahmud Asrar. This opportunity means a lot to me”

Asrar instead:

“Growing up, Conan was one of my first comics. [...] now, many years later, I have the opportunity to draw on the screenplay of the great Jason Aaron. I could not be happier, we will continue to honor the legacy of the Cimmero hoping to leave a mark in the readers.”
