Baptized as the “photo of the century”, the image below marks a major revolution in the scientific field. The photo of the black hole” confirm the theory of relativity of Einstein, as stated by Sheperd S. Doeleman of the Center for Astrophysics, Harvard university & the Smithsonian, the director of the project, Eht (Event Horizon Telescope). The object of the photo is a black hole present at the center of the galaxy M87 (Virgo A), a distance of 53 million light-years. In the image, we see a margin that divides the luminous matter from the centre of the circular characterized by the absence of photons, i.e. the black hole, where matter is incorporated. That margin, finally visible to all, has a precise name, that is, “event horizon”.

The presence of this “absence” in the universe has been the subject of many science fiction stories and not. In the world of comics and the graphic novel, where the author can give vent to his wildest imagination and translate it into images and words, the event horizon is a state subject and also the protagonist of the Italian stories.

Here:

Written by Francesco Artibani, drawn by Lorenzo Pastrovicchio, and with the colors of Max Monteduro, PK finds himself mixed up in a “family quarrel” Ducklair the limits of the known universe. After an encounter with the Marauding, difficulties with time travel, PK finds Everett Ducklair, returned to Earth following the arrival of an alien never seen before. Analyzing the situation, Everett realizes that the alien is coming from a place that goes beyond the event horizon, called in this universe by his daughter, Juniper, queen of the planet, the Crown, and his sister Korinna, head of the armed forces of the planet and of the studies on the universes beyond the horizon, begun years before by Everett himself, and that caused the disappearance of his wife. The setting is cyberpunk colours filled with light metallic is ideal to explore with curiosity, who or what lives on the other side of the known universe. And who knows, maybe there will be really a double of Evroniani from the other side of the horizon...
