Cells at Work! Works in the Body, a new manga spin-off by Yasu (Toradora!)
The number 6 of the magazine Monthly Shōnen Sirius Kodansha has announced that the May 25, 2019 on the number 7 the monthly magazine will debut a new manga spin-off series Cells at Work! Works in the Body Akane Shimizu.
It will be called Hataraku Kesshoban-chan (Platelets at work), and focuses on the characters of the plates of the original work, will be illustrated by Yasu, the author of the illustrations of the light novel of Toradora!, based on texts by Yuuko Kakihara — supervisor of the screenplays of the transposition of the animated manga-original.
In Japan Cells at Work! Works in the Body debuted on January 26, 2015 on the Shonen Sirius, and at the moment it consists of 5 volumes, the last of which was published by Kodansha on August 9, 2017. It has inspired a manga spin-off Hataraku Saibou Black, Hataraku roly-poly (Bacteria at work), Hatarakanai Saibo (Cells that do not work) and Hataraku Saibo Friend, more a animated television series, special, animated, and a second animated series in the works.
In Italy, the manga is in course of publication for Edizioni Star Comics (5 volumes); the first animated series and the special are available on Yamato Animation.
