Breaking Bad: the film will be a sequel, will return to Bryan Cranston?

Published on Nov 08, 2018

Even though Breaking Bad ended in 2013 after, however, the seasons, the series is still regarded as one of the best of all time, both by critics and the public, for which reason the network AMC was quick to realize the series prequel spinoff Better Call Saul, also a great success. For these reasons, many fans still hope that sooner or later can return to see the original characters of the series, Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul).

Even if Bryan Cranston has not yet read the script of the film based on Breaking Bad, the actor would be happy to return to interpret Walter White, if that was requested. Recently, fans of this television series drama produced by AMC were surprised when they learned the news that his creator, Vince Gilligan would be in the process of making a movie about Breaking Bad, the production of which should commence during this autumn.

As the information available at the time are scarce, the synopsis indicates that the film will follow the story of a man kidnapped and his attempts to escape his captors. The title provvissorio of the film should be Grenbrier.

Cranston, of course, is one of the main reasons for which the series continues to be a huge success still today, ten years after the first mass wave, and the actor has spoken about a film about Breaking Bad during an interview on the Dan Patrick Show, admitting to having spoken of the project with Gilligan, but at the time Cranston has a lot of information about it:

“Yes, it would seem that there will be a movie about Breaking Bad, but honestly I have not even read the script, so I don't know... But if Vince Gilligan were to ask me to do, of course, absolutely. He is a genius.”

According to the latest information about the Greenbrier, it would be a sequel focusing on the figure of Jesse Pinkman and his life after the events of Breaking Bad, for which, if anything, should appear for Walter White probably would be a flashback, or maybe a dream.

Different, instead, the discourse with regards to Jesse Pinkman, according to what reported by Slash Film, that speaks to the presence of this character within the new film about Breaking Bad, and to dress up his or her shoes should always be Aaron Paul. Some think that it might be a film for television, but it is to be noted that, at the moment, there are no confirmations or denials to this regard, for which we invite you to stay on our pages, to all future updates.
