Blizzard update on Overwatch World Cup and the Necromancer of Diablo III
Blizzard Entertainment has today updated the community on two of its flagship titles, Overwatch, and Diablo III. For the hero shooter, there are important news about the World Cup currently in progress; in Diablo III, instead, is going to get the powerful Necromancer.
With the group stage of the Overwatch World Cup 2017 is looming large on the horizon, the national committees of the 32 qualified teams have worked hard to create the perfect team that would represent each their country in a series of live events around the world. These teams will reach four cities, where they shall fight for the glory and the 8 available places in the play-offs of the Overwatch World Cup at BlizzCon in November.
The search for the strongest team in the world will not bring you the group stage of the Overwatch World Cup in four different continents. China, Australia, Poland and the United States will host 8 nations to head for an exciting live event, and this is an opportunity to be part of it.
The Burning Hells invade Sanctuary, and all hope seems lost, but an unlikely hero emerges to restore balance to the world, calling itself an army of the dead and purifying the earth from evil. From the depths of the crypts beneath Blizzard Entertainment has raised today a dark invocation that announces the release of the package the Rise of the Necromancer, that on the 27th of June will introduce a wait class of the necromancer in Diablo III: Reaper of Souls. In the realm of mortals, will be available in digital format directly in-game or on the Blizzard store for PC, or on the PlayStation®Store and Xbox One Store.
The necromancers, as they are called, the mysterious Priests of Rathma, appeared for the first time in the acclaimed Diablo II, where millions of players have experienced the thrill of controlling an unstoppable army of undead servants. In Diablo III: Reaper of Souls, these talented men (and women) draw upon the power of the blood and bones to protect humanity, turning the carcass without the life of the fallen enemies into servants immortal. Or causing them to explode, because it's fun, too.
As a corpse of the day is full of entrails, also the package of the Rise of the Necromancer is full of surprises that all aspiring practitioners of the dark arts will be able to try:
“Players frequently ask us to review their favorite characters from our old games, but a few classes have been requested so often and with as much passion as the necromancer,” said Mike Morhaime, president and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. “Redesign the necromancer was an act of love. We have worked hard to capture the essence of what made it so special, while making use of everything that Diablo III had to offer.”
Console users that have yet to try Diablo III will be able to buy the digital version, Eternal Collection, which includes the package the Rise of the Necromancer, Diablo III and the award-winning expansion Reaper of Souls for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. This collection of all-inclusive is the perfect starting point for those who until now have never tried the one by the players is considered the co-op experience “from the couch” is better than ever.
The package the Rise of the Necromancer will be available from June 27th on PC (Windows®, Mac®, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, at the price of 14,99 €*. The epic Diablo III: the Eternal Collection will be available for subscribers to PlayStation Plus on PS4, and subscribers to Xbox Live Gold on Xbox One for a limited time at the special price of 39,99 € (full price): 69,99 €).
