Black Hammer: in April, the second series Age of Doom
Black Hammer of Jeff Lemire and Dean Ormston is officially on break after the roaring log #13 came out last week in the USA and will return next April with a second series entitled, the Black Hammer: Age of Doom.
The idea, said Lemire – is to play with the concept of the relaunch, reboot and rebirth, which have monopolized the comic book superhero of the last 10 years. As with other concepts related to the world of comics of the superheroes, we had to filter this through the characters of Black Hammer.
Fans of the series will deceive the time, with the mini-series spin-off Sherlock Frankenstein & The Legion of Evil written by Jeff Lemire and illustrated by David Rubín that will start in October in the USA.
Black Hammer is published by Dark Horse in the USA and by Bao Publishing in Italy.
Here are the covers of Black Hammer: Age of Doom #1, Skottie Young and Fábio Moon, which pays homage to The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller:
Following the battle the most important of their lives, some superheroes are trapped on a “normal” world, from which they can escape, and where they are forced to reinvent themselves in lives like those of common mortals.
