Big Trouble in little china: John Carpenter, will write a new comic story
BOOM! Studios announces the arrival of a new miniseries inspired by the cult film Big Trouble in little china with John Carpenter that will take care of the texts
It will be called Big Trouble in Little China: Old Man Jack, the new mini-series comic book, which is divided into 4 parts, announced by BOOM! Studios (via Entertainment Weekly), inspired by the cult film of 1986, Big Trouble in little china, directed by John Carpenter. And the same Carpenter will take care of the texts of the mini-series, illustrated by Jorge Corona and released in comics stars and stripes in September.
Here's the official synopsis of the project, along with the first cover art that shows the return of an old Jack Burton (in the film played by Kurt Russel):
Old Man Jack is set in the year 2020, and hell is literally on Earth, with the god's demonic Ching By stating the ruler of the whole. Jack Burton is alone in Florida with only his radio route for the company, until one day she receives a message. Someone is out there in that wasteland of hell, and know a way to stop Ching From.
The cult films of Carpenter, recently, it has also given birth to some of comics published in Italy by Editoriale Cosmo, and a board game inspired by the film.
