Batman: Detective Comics #1000 debut in Arkham Knight
DC is starting to reveal its plans for the celebratory Detective Comics #1000, which, as happened for the consideration Action Comics #1000, it will contain a main story entrusted to the creative team that will take the reins of the head, or Peter J. Tomasi and Doug Manhke, and a myriad of stories of “appendix” which were entrusted to various authors, however, have not been yet revealed.
Of the stories in the main it has been revealed an important detail, Peter J. Tomasi, in fact, introduce in the continuity of the official batman: Arkham Knight, the major villain of the eponymous video game released in 2015, and which the Father himself wrote the prequel comic.
In the video game version of we discovered that Arkham Knight was actually Jason Todd, who had fled from an attack from the Joker, a return to so the classic A Death in the Family where Jason was killed by Joker but then return years later – in 2001/2002 – the first in a Hush, and then in Under the Hood.
Difficult Tomasi the face of changing the identity to Jason for several years steadily became Red Hood and star of several series dedicated to him, the more likely we will have the introduction of a new villain in never too nourished gallery of enemies of the Dark Knight.
Detective Comics #1000 is expected on the shelves of comics stores in the americas to march 2019 and will be accompanied by a series volume deluxe and a volume of the anthology Detective Comics: 80 Years of Batman the Deluxe Edition with contributions from Cory Doctorow, Neil Gaiman, Glen David Gold, Denny O'neil
