So much fear in the day yesterday, between the people of Hawaii in the possession of an iPhone, because of a false alarm is sent as a notification on iOS: “it's going to be a ballistic missile!”.

On the 13th of January, the inhabitants and the tourists who were in Hawaii, and have lived moments of terror when on their iPhone they received the following message sent by the local authorities: “A ballistic missile is heading towards Hawaii. To get immediately to the shelter. This is not a tutorial”.

Your message has been sent to you in error, but there have been moments of fear until the authorities have reassured everyone with a further message that is sent, however, only 40 minutes after. The notification should in fact be shared internally only as a test, but something went wrong and the message has been received from thousands of users that you were in Hawaii.

In view of its location in the Pacific ocean and the relative proximity to North Korea, from November to Hawaii was restored to the emergency sirens that warn the population in case of missile attack. It is therefore likely that this message falls in the emergency plan envisaged by the authorities in the event of actual attack, because every first of the month, the sirens are tested to check that it is working effectively.
