Award MangiaeBevi 2017, triumph, Heinz Beck and la Pergola
Heinz Beck protagonist of the first edition of the Prize MangiaeBevi 2017 – The Excellence of Rome and Lazio held Monday evening at the Teatro Parioli. 32 the prize awarded to the “restaurant business”, 9 for “professional caterers”, 22 certificates of excellence to the products and manufacturers, wine and food of Lazio. The award, sponsored by the Presidency of the Lazio Region and the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and the Work of the Municipality of Rome, has earned the nickname “the Oscars of dining”, but is to all effects a real “prize of the press”, since the winners of the various categories were decided by a super-jury of 50 of the most influential journalists and wine and food critics, chaired by Jerry Bortolan.
The lion's share was made by the restaurant La Pergola, awarded “best restaurant of Rome”, with the statements of Heinz Beck's (the best chef) and his main professional: Simon Pine nuts (best restaturant manager) and Marco Reitano (best sommelier). Pier Daniele la Seu win as “best pizza chefs under 30,” while Marion Lichtle is imposed between the two “big” as Giuseppe Amato and Dario Nuti. Finally, special award for the “international critics” to Luigi Cremona.
