Arthur Adams guest-Panini Comics Lucca Comics and Games 2018
Lucca Comics and Games and Panini Comics announce a new international guest for the year 2018 of the fair: Arthur Adams.
Arthur Adams has made his professional debut in the world of comics in the mid 80s, at the age of 19, with the miniseries “Longshot” written by Ann Nocenti, in which his style mature page after page.
Deeply influenced by authors such as Michael Golden and Walt Simonson, Adams was noticed by the editor, Carl Potts and her assistant Ann Nocenti after undergoing some test pages to Marvel. Since his dazzling debut with “Longshot”, Adams was one of the authors most beloved by the critics and the public, as well as one of the most influential for several generations of artists all over the world.
At the beginning of his career, he has linked his name above all to the “X-Men”, illustrating the various posters, book covers, pin-ups and some issues of “Uncanny X-Men”, “X-Factor”, “Excalibur”, and several Annual, as well as the special “Excalibur: Mojo Mayhem”. Has also designed a triptych of episodes of “Fantastic Four”, one of the best scenes in the long history of the magazine.
At the end of the 80's has shown some of the adventures of “Superman” and “Batman”, also contributing to the historic number 400 of “Detective Comics”.
In the 90s, together with his friend Mike Mignola (known at the beginning of the career at Marvel) and other authors such as Frank Miller and John Byrne contributed to the launch of the label “Legend” for Dark Horse, for which he created as the sole author of the series “Monkeyman & O'brian”.
Between the years 90 and 2000, is dedicated above all to make covers for Marvel and DC Comics, and occasionally it is also occupied of the interior with “the Hulk”, “Ultimate Comics: X ”, “Guardians of the Galaxy”.
