Having given life to a universe of television, and its so called the Arrowverse, it is normal that it was the first to come to an end: the eighth will be the last season of Arrow, as confirmed by the same Stephen Amell and the producers.

“The role of Oliver Queen has been the greatest work experience of my life...but you can't be a vigilante forever. And this is because, for now,”it reads on Twitter. The words of the actor are all those rumors that have been recently unleashed on the internet in view of the crossover of the next year, the Crisis on Infinite Earths. According to many, it is likely that the event, as well as rewrite completely the universe of television, and can also lead to the death of Oliver himself.

“It was a difficult decision to make but, as well as those taken in the past seven years, is exclusively for the interest of the series,” reads the statement from the showrunner Beth Schwartz, executive producer Greg Berlanti and consulting producer Marc Guggenheim, as reported by THR, “We are heartened by the fact that Arrow has given life to an entire universe of television, with series that will continue for a few more years. We are excited about the idea of creating a finale that honors the history of this series and all of the people that we have worked with.” The latest season will be made up, for the first time, only ten episodes.

Currently, the seventh season of the series airs every Monday on The CW: from the 12th of march, will finally arrive in Italy on Premium Action, with the first episode entitled “the Prisoner 4587”.
