Apple will open a new Research and Development centre in China
Apple will soon open a new Research and Development centre in China with the intention of strengthening its presence in the Country after several negative signals received from the chinese market, which prefers more and more low cost alternatives to the iPhone.
The announcement came directly from Tim Cook, who has confirmed – the Vice Premier of china Zhang Gaoli – the opening of the new R&D center “by the end of the year”. At the moment were not disclosed details about Apple plans for this new center, and then we do not know the place where it is opened, and the number of employees that can be accommodated inside.
With the opening of this new centre Cook is hoping to make up for the lost ground to Apple in the chinese territory, after some of the reports not really happy of the last period, which was about sales on the decline, and customers who preferred to alternative low-cost products of the bitten apple.
