Apple's hiring by Sony Pictures two important leaders TV for the management of video content
Apple pushes the foot on the accelerator for a business in the field of TV content. The company has hired two experts in the field prior to the Sony Picture Television.
Apple has today announced that Jamie Erlicht and Zack Van Hamburg will join the company to help the latter to create and manage original video content. The two will operate on a global scale, and will report to Eddy Cue.
Erlicht and Van Hamburg will leave, therefore, the Sony Pictures Television, where they have served in the office of presidents since 2005 and have given an important contribution in the creation of a successful show like Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Crown, and others.
"Jamie and Zack are two of the most talented executives in the TV world, and were of great help in making this the golden age of television," said Eddye Cue, SVP of Apple. "We have big plans for our users, and we can't wait for them to bring their experience to the Apple – there is more to come".
"It will be an honor to be part of the team at Apple," said Jamie Erlicht. "We want to do for video content what Apple has successfully done with its other products and services for customers". These, however, the words of Zack Van Hamburg: "Apple is continually focused to delight users with its products. We will bring the same spirit in the schedule of Apple and we could not be more excited for what will come after".
The assumptions of the two figures are so important as they represent the latest move of Apple to assert its presence in the market share of the TV content of the originals, and arrive a few days away from the airing (on Apple's Music, ndr) of the first original show of the company, or Planet of the Apps. In addition, will make its debut in the coming months also Carpool Karaoke: The Series.
