Apple reopens more than half of Apple Store in China

Apple has re-opened 29 of its 42 Apple Store in China, according to the Web sites of Apple stores in the country. Many Apple retail Stores in China have been closed in recent weeks due to the outbreak of coronavirus COVID-19.

Most of the stores that were reopened have reduced hours and will vary according to location. Other points of sale should reopen this week, but don't know when Apple retail Stores in China, will be operational.

Last week, Apple said revenue in the quarter of march will not be up to expectations because of the poor supply of iPhone all over the world and the reduction of the demand of Apple products in China caused by the closure of the shops.

The shops closed, and the hours limited, they have significantly reduced the traffic of customers and, although the factories of Apple's supplier in areas outside of the province of Hubei have been opened, the return to full production of the devices has been slower than expected.

According to a second report of Bloomberg, the sales of the iPhone have started to decrease in January, with the spread of the coronavirus. The numbers provided by a research note UBS that includes the official data, the chinese suggest that the sales have declined 28% compared to the previous month, which represents a decline larger than normal for that time of the year.

The sales numbers for February should be “much worse” because of problems of demand and supply linked to the outbreak.

Apple has stated that it is continuing to monitor the situation of the coronavirus, and will provide more information during his next call quarterly earnings in April.
