Apple may launch AirTag, headphones, premium and more at WWDC 2020

The next big announcement from Apple will be the highly anticipated iPhone 9 and iPhone 9 Plus. But the giant of Cupertino is also working on many other products for release this year, some of which may arrive at WWDC 2020 in June.

Despite developer's conference this year will be online because of the pandemic of COVID-19, Jon Prosser has heard from its sources that Apple is still planning to introduce at least three new products during the event.

Unlike the new iPad Pro 2020 or the next iPhone series 9, these new devices will not be announced through press releases on Apple's website Newsroom. Instead, Apple hopes to reveal them during the keynote online of the WWDC of this year.

The company, based in Silicon Valley, had initially planned to announce two upcoming products at the event in march 2020. Unfortunately, the current global climate has forced Apple to set aside completely the event, which reportedly had been scheduled for march 31.

The reason why executives want to announce these new products during the keynote, is, according to Prosser, because they are completely new product categories for the company. In particular, Apple is finally planning to announce the AirTag and a pair of Bluetooth headphones premium.

The AirTag will allow users to locate objects, such as keys or bags, in the app Where it is. The tag will use the search functionality offline introduced into the core of iOS 13 to allow the device to anyone to detect the signal of the tracker, in an anonymous way.

This means that the global network for the iPhone, iPad and Mac will be able to search the AirTag. When it finds a signal, the app Where you can automatically notify the true owner of the object, sending it the location of the tag. When a user is in the proximity of a tag, you will be able to find it via Bluetooth. If the owner has an iPhone equipped with the chip U1, such as the latest series of iPhone 11, you will also be able to see with precision the position of the object in augmented reality.

With regard to the Bluetooth headset high-end that Apple is planning at the moment not much is known about them. However, you expect a better sound quality and battery life compared to the AirPods with a price significantly higher than at the end them to position itself as an alternative to premium Beats.

Finally, during the WWDC could get a minor update to the MacBook Pro's 16-inch and the new MacBook Pro 14-inch, which will probably replace the line by 13 inches.
