Apple is working on a Touch ID digital-display for the iPhone in the future

Apparently Apple is preparing a new fingerprint sensor Touch ID, built-under-display, and will be implemented “already on his iPhone 2020” the next autumn, according to a report by Bloomberg.

The report states that it would be an addition to the authentication system, Face ID, allowing users to authenticate with the fingerprint or biometrics of the face.

The publication says that the feature could, however, slip to 2021. This echoes a recent report by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, which said that Apple will launch an iPhone with Touch ID and Face ID in 2021.

Apple would have already worked with vendors and prepared working prototypes, but is not yet clear if it can produce the technology on a large scale, at least in time for the phones of the next generation.

Offer both Touch ID, Face ID would increase the convenience and speed of unlocking the iPhone. A user registers their fingerprint and signature facial and, once recognition succeeds, the phone can be unlocked. This means that Touch ID can compensate for the weaknesses of Face ID, and vice versa.

For example, the Face ID does not work when the user is wearing certain types of sunglasses or ski masks. These users may simply unlock your device using Touch ID. Users with skin conditions such as psoriasis will not be able to use the unlock of the fingerprint, and then can rely on the system Face ID.

Bloomberg also confirms a report in the Nikkei, according to which Apple will launch a new iPhone model IF low-cost in the spring of 2020. The iPhone IF 2 should have a revised design of the iPhone 8 and a Home button with Touch ID.
