Apple hires two former managers of Sony specialized in TV programming
Apple has hired Jamie Erlicht and Zack Van Hamburg, two ex-executives of Sony Pictures Televisions in the past have been responsible for the programming of some of the series such as Breaking Bad and The Goldbergs.
Jamie Erlicht and Zack Van Hamburg are presented by Apple as two of the leaders of the most creative and most successful of the television, that will work in the company to fill the newly created roles aimed at supervising all aspects of the video programming. Erlicht and Van Hamburg will be the guide of the video programming in the world, and will report directly to Eddy Cue. Sony Pictures Television, the two have held the role of presidents since 2005 and have been responsible for some programming, the most popular and most acclaimed of the last decade, including famous series such as Breaking Bad and its spinoff Better Call Saul, The Crown, Rescue Me and many others.

Jamie Erlicht said that it will be an honor to be part of the team at Apple: “we Want to bring in the video to what Apple has already resulted with success in its other services and products of consumption – that is, a quality without equal.” On the same line as Zack Van Hamburg: “Apple is focused in constantly satisfying customers with its products. We have this same objective in the programming of Apple and we could not be more thrilled at the idea of what is waiting for us.”
Erlicht and Van Hamburg have played the role of the presidents of Sony Pictures Television since 2005. Under their guidance, the list of original sets of the study go in primetime is more than tripled, and has grown to include many of the television shows most popular. With extensive experience in tv production for the global audience and creating programming for a wide range of services, including Amazon, Hulu and Netflix. Their list of programs (36 Emmy awards and dozens of awards, Golden Globes, AFI, and the WGA) includes series such as Better Call Saul, The Blacklist, Bloodline, Breaking Bad, The Crown, Damages, The Goldbergs, Justified, Preacher, Rescue Me, The Shield, and Pete Sneaky, and many others.
