Apple celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Grand Canyon with the new Apple Watch activity challenge

This 25 August, Apple will celebrate the centenary of the Grand Canyon National Park with a challenge activity. The new Apple Watch activity challenge requires you to walk, run or hike at least three miles (4.8 km), which is equivalent to the distance from the South Kaibab Trail to Cedar Ridge, forward and backward.

If we complete the activity challenge, we will receive a badge with exclusive stickers for iMessage, animated relating to this challenge. Here is the official description from Apple:

On the 25th of August, get a prize inspired by the hundredth anniversary of the Grand Canyon National Park. Recorded a walk, a run, a hike or a workout in the wheelchair at least three miles (4.8 km): the distance of the South Kaibab Trail to Cedar Ridge and back.

Apple has already organized a challenge in China at the beginning of this week, which commemorates the National Fitness Day in the country. Although the challenge of the activity requires users to train for at least half an hour in any type of training, the challenge of the Grand Canyon National Park requires a certain distance to achieve it.
