Apple and Samsung are once again back in court last may 14 to recalculate the amount that the south Korean company must pay to the house of Apple as compensation to the famous infringement of 5 patents found as far back as 2011.

The news of the recalculation had emerged last October, and in these days is taking place the process, which should finally store this long saga in the courts. According to what has emerged till now, it seems that Apple does not want to give in, continuing to ask for 1 billion dollars in compensation. Samsung, instead, is willing to pay a sum markedly smaller, amounting to 28 million dollars.

The huge difference between the two positions is given by the different criteria used by the two companies. Apple, in fact, claims that the design elements copied have been fundamental to the success of the Galaxy smartphones charged, and therefore requires a compensation proportional to profits made by Samsung. The house of Seoul, on the other hand, believes having to pay a sum equal to the just value of the patents violated, since it states that its smartphones sold also thanks to other elements that are not copied from Apple, such as the operating system, the performance and other intrinsic qualities of the product. The iPhone more powerful than ever with the design of the most classic ever?
