Apple announces two good news related to Apple Pay: NFC tags and Loyalty Cards

Jennifer Bailey, vice president of Apple Pay, has today announced a new feature tied to the NFC chip present on the iPhone. In particular, our devices will be able to recognize the special tags that interact directly with Apple Pay without the need to download specific applications.

Apple has started a collaboration with Bird scooters rental mopeds, the clothing store Bonobos and PayByPhone to pay for parking in a faster way. Basically, we will be able to pay with Apple Pay without the need of a POS, but by simply recognizing our the iPhone of the special tags (NFC), which can be inserted inside of the stickers) and affixed on a scooter, a bicycle, a machine for the parking and so on, and pay the rate due directly with Apple Pay without the need to download additional applications.

Bonobos instead, it will be the first store with the cash self-service, where users choose the clothes, start the scanning of the NFC tag placed on the card, and pay directly, taking the garment without having to go to the cashier.

Apple has also announced the imminent arrival of Loyalty Cards within the Wallet application. These cards, once stored, will be displayed to the user in an automatic manner in the form of a recommendation when we go to make a purchase at a store of which we are frequent customers.
