I have selected for now are Emmanuel Guibert, Rumiko Takahashi, and Chris Ware, which have been voted to be able to compete for the prize. The second phase of voting is open until Sunday 20 January, and the winner will be revealed on Wednesday, January 23, on the eve of the Festival.

We have, therefore, in contention two men and a woman, an author of the european, one american and the Princess of manga. It is then well-known authors to the public at large, which, perhaps, will attend more to the suspense that accompanies the assignment.

Emmanuel Guibert is an author of comics in French language. Can be considered as a cartoonist from the line powerful graphics, as in the comics, The Photographe.

Rumiko Takahashi is one of the most famous mangaka, thanks to universal works such as Ranma 1/2, Maison Ikkoku, Inuyasha, and the Story.

The best album of the year 2002 with Jimmy Corrigan (Delcourt), Chris Ware has a line inherited by Joost Swarte and George McManus thanks to the climate of contemplation.
