All the manga candidates for the 22° the Cultural Prize of Osamu Tezuka
The daily newspaper Asahi Shinbun announced the nominations for the 22nd edition of the Cultural Prize of Osamu Tezuka, the competition was inaugurated in 1997 to give recognition to those works that best fit in the tradition of the track by the God of Manga.
This year's jury is composed by the actress Anne Watanabe, the writer Kazuki Sakuraba, by mangaka Osamu Akimoto, Machiko Satonaka, and Taro Minamoto, a professor and scholar Shōhei Chūjō, by the editor Haruyuki Nakano, from the critical Nobunaga Shinbo and by researcher Tomoko Yamada.
They have chosen the titles on the basis of the recommendations of experts and booksellers; to be able to be candidates in the manga they must have seen it published in a volume in the course of 2017.
The winners will be announced at the end of April, while the awards ceremony will be held on June 7, 2018 in Tokyo.
