The live action version of Aladdin has brought the animated characters into a new dimension, decreeing the success of the film by Guy Ritchie, with over $ 1 billion at the box office worldwide. And since the original Aladdin he already had the sequel, it should be no surprise that Disney is developing ideas for a sequel.

This version has left the story quite open, allowing in the future to tell new adventures. In speaking with the producer Dan Lin, ComicBook.com asked if Disney had thought of a sequel to Aladdin:

“Now yes,” says Lin, “Certainly when we made the film for the first time, we just wanted to make the best possible film that we could and let the audience told us if they wanted to see more. And I would say that the public really wants. Have seen this movie several times. We have many letters of people who go to the cinema and bring their friends and bring their family. Then we hear that there is still a story to tell. We'll get to that in the same way in which we treated the original film of Aladdin, and we will not do a remake pedissequo of everything that has been done previously. We're really looking at what has been done in the past and in home video, and there is only another story to tell with those materials. Then, without saying too much, we are definitely exploring where we can go with this franchise”.

Of course, Disney has not been a sequel to Aladdin in production, and things could change. But, with the huge box-office success of the first film, a sequel should be almost safe.
