Saturday evening was held at the hall of the Pro Loco di Agra in the Deer park, the official delivery of three defibrillators from the Rotary Club Laveno Luino Alto Verbano to the Police of the state of Luino, to the fire station of Luino and to the football association Dumenza. Were present, respectively, the commissioner of police dr. Valeria Consolmagno, the provincial commander of the fire brigade of Varese, Giulio De Palma, together with the official Fabio Bruno and the head of a detachment of Luino Lorenzo Canazza and Andrea Colombo chairman of the football association of Dumenza. The president of the Rotary Tullio Macchi explained in his introductory speech, that this service was not expected, but thanks to the cooperation of the members, and some associations and organizations, which have helped the club, it was possible to do it. A round of applause, then, to the Pro Loco Agra, the Pro Loco of Luino and to the association “RL the Seven Lakes of Verbano”, the organizers of the 24 hours of Basketball to Miss Summer League. Fundamental was the cooperation between the Rotary Laveno Luino with the Red Cross of Luino, who, being initially the spokesperson of the need for territorial, it is made available to provide free training courses for the use of the defibrillators to the staff that will be identified. The president also stressed that this project is by far so much so that other defibrillators had been donated already in the past, starting from the initiative of dr. George Salerno, the author of the project “the Heart Network”. More than 100 people have wanted to attend the event and several were the authorities present. Significant interventions of three of the many doctors present. Dr. Peter Merlo, former chief of Medicine of Luino, he wanted to intervene, explaining his vision by the cardiologist and the patient. The cardiologist Franco Compagnoni explained the importance of the presence of the defibrillator in public places as fire extinguishers and as it is a determinant of the speed of intervention. The cardiologa Annamaria Bernasconi wanted her to reaffirm what has already been said by his colleagues. The President of the Red Cross of Luino Pier Francesco Holes wanted to emphasize that everything you can do effectively only through a network of partnerships between those who give, those who shape and those who raise the awareness on the topic, a team game, and skills, in order to save as many lives as possible. “From an idea that was born last year during a party of Red Cross Luino, it has developed a good initiative with the Rotary Club to equip the Forces of law and Order in the territory of a defibrillator with appropriate training. Thanks Tullio Macchi, for having brought forward this service, and for having laid the foundations in, and is dedicated every year to a different representation of the Public Safety.
