From Friday 23 to Sunday June 25, Marina di Castagneto Carducci (Livorno) will be invaded by the colours and by the events of the second edition of A Sea of Comics, the festival dedicated to the world of cartoons, organized by the nature Center and the Municipality of Castagneto, with the artistic supervision of Alessio Nonfanti “Kagliostro” and Matthew Ostolani.
After the great success of the first edition, with over 10 thousand attendance, the event tuscan evolves even more: the two stages; five concerts in three days; the fair market of the sector with the number of exhibitors (64) tripled compared to the edition of 2016. And then important meetings in the dedicated space, a drawing competition (theme Pinocchio to the Sea), a competition dedicated to cosplay (with a prize of a trip to Japan), and a play area for children. In short, a great festival of comics that is gaining an important space in the world of events related how to declare the two artistic directors.
The event (the programme of which is visible below) will take place along the Viale Italia, a few steps from the sea, where there will be two stages: the Stage, Mazinger Z, with the head of a Snake four feet high, and the stage Daitarn III with his statue, seven metres high) of the mythical robot.
Many, then, will be the guests present at this edition of A Sea of Comics: from posted de Le Iene, Andrea Agresti, the protagonist of a concert (Friday 23 June) with the cartoon cover band The Squinternati Animated, Superobots, the band protagonist of a show with their acronyms, the most famous (Saturday 24 June), ranging from Candy to Sampei, and Force the Sugar through The Great Mazinger, and Daltanious. Sunday, 25 June, instead, will perform in the Stamps Lost with a tribute to Disney.
And then the space to the authors of books like Claudio Chiaverotti (Dylan Dog) and Morgan (Lost) and Riccardo Nunziati (Diabolik), passing to the author of theme songs for cartoons, Andrea Lo Vecchio (Tarzan the ago, JudoBoy and Dundam) and voiced by Pietro Ubaldi (Barbossa, Uan, Doraemon).
All events will be free of charge.
