A new concept imagines how it might appear Xcode for iPad

Yesterday, the leaker Jon Prosser has revealed that Apple may release a version of Xcode for iPhone and iPad with the launch of iOS 14. In the light of these statements, the designer, Parker Ortolani has created a concept that shows how it might look to the program for iPad.

Xcode is a tool from Apple that allows developers to create apps for iOS, macOS, watchOS and tvOS. Since it is a program very complex, it is currently only available for Mac, and although Apple offers the app Swift Playgrounds for the iPad, the company has never officially stated that he plans to release a version of Xcode for the tablet.

With iPadOS more and more sophisticated, it makes sense to think that the iPad should have a tool so professional.

If Apple will port Xcode to the iPad, the app needs to be completely redesigned with a new interface adapted to the touch. Even with the support of keyboard and mouse, all the iPad apps should offer an experience that is primarily based on the touch and should not be different with Xcode.

The concept shows buttons and menus larger, but it maintains the essence of Xcode for Mac with the code in the center, and the list with all the project files on the side bar. The iPad version would also offer a real-time preview for the app SwiftUI.

Developers will have the opportunity to test all their apps for iOS directly on your iPad, without the need to run them on a simulator, or connecting a device to the Mac. Parker also imagines how it would look with the debugging tools and the console on Xcode for the iPad.

What do you think of this concept? Apple should really release a version of Xcode for the iPad?Let us know in the comments below!
