A grave of the fireflies: after a gap of 30 years, the poster reveals a secret

A grave of the fireflies, the film of japanese animation of 1988 based on the story of Akiyuki Nosaka, is without a shadow of a doubt one of the films the most infamous of the famous Studio Ghibli.

30 years after its publication, the interest on the feature film set in World War ii is reborn because of the recent death of its director, Isao Takahata. Someone, looking at the original poster of the film, however, is aware of a detail that went unnoticed for all these years: the presence of a B29 bomber in the night sky behind the protagonists.

Furthermore, by altering again the colors, it is clear that some of the lights in the background, thought the fireflies of the film are, in reality, a reference to the bombs dropped by the bombers of the u.s. during the Second World War:
