A German student does not want that your iPhone is broken: here's the cover with the airbag! [Video]
Smartphone glass cracked, and other damage, if they see (unfortunately) a lot, but a German student by the name of Philip Lemieux might have the solution to save money to many people.
Discovered by DesignBoom, Frenzel has created an airbag for mobile devices, a case that recognises when a smartphone is in the fall, and opens a sort of airbag (fin-metal) to protect the device.
Lemieux is a student at the University of Aalen in Germany and has already received a prize awarded by the German Mechatronics Society for his invention. In collaboration with Peter Mayer, another student of the university, Lemieux thinks to launch the device on KickStarter in the next month.
