10 things you may not know about Eiichirō Oda
One Piece was published for the first time in Japan by the famous magazine "Weekly Shonen Jump" of the group editorial Shueisha in 1997, is at the moment the manga is more of a successful history, having sold more than 440 million copies worldwide as of may 2018, making it the manga series sold well for 10 weeks in 2017. But this is not the only record shot down by Oda-sensei, as the author has also gained full title to a place in the Guinness book of World Records for “the largest number of copies published for the same series of comic books by a single author”, which is of One Piece the manga written by the same author the longest-lived of the history.
All of this has come, however, in a totally unexpected, because originally Eiichirō Oda had planned for a duration of 5 years to a maximum of One Piece, having already thought of a way that would lead him to the end. However, the story continued to evolve, even beyond the expectations of its author, up to the current huge success and proportions.

The 1 January is also the date of birth of Portgas D. Ace, the late and only son of Gol D. Roger, the one and only (at least up to this moment) the King of the Pirates and, at least up to this moment (you never know what may be in store for the Oda, for his readers!), Portgas D. Ace is the only character present throughout the long history of One Piece, who shares his birthday with his creator.
This detail makes us understand, therefore as the Master of the Oda is strongly related to this character, even if he has decided to put an end to his life. But we all know very well what has led Oda to this choice.
9. The family of Eiichirō Oda
From the work of the Oda, shows how deeply this man loves his work, to which he devoted himself, body and soul, for the vast majority of his time, but it would be wrong to think that for this reason the Master also has a private life! In 2002, the dad of One Piece, he met Chiaki Inaba, a girl who was impersonating his Nami during the event Shonen Jump Festa:
From that moment on, the two began dating, until in 2014, Eiichirō Oda and Chiaki inaba have gotten married in a proper wedding. Two years later, in 2006, the couple also had a daughter:
