Zoom goes to the “dark side” with the latest update to Android @BitFeedCo.

The developers of Zoom, the application which has stormed into the general public, both in the period of the lockdown, thanks to the ability to hold video meetings between multiple people, have released a new update (after the one that resulted in the encryption end-to-end) for their Android app by introducing, among other things, the support for the Dark Mode.

Once the update is downloaded, the app Zoom will follow the settings of the system in terms of the theme. This means that if you set the Dark Mode at the level of the system, even the Zoom will be shown with the dark theme and vice versa. Unfortunately, this also means that the support for the Dark Mode for the app needs Android 10 or later.

In addition to the support for the Dark Mode, the official changelog of the update reads as follows:

  • Shows the name of the annotatore by default
  • Functions of the meeting
    • Reactions to meet additional
    • Enable the aspect ratio for the video feed
  • Chat functionality
    • Invite members to the channel or organization
    • Insonorizza the notifications channel
    • Improved user interface of the chat
  • The functionality of the phone
    • Transfer the call to any meeting
    • View the transcripts of the recordings of the calls
  • General characteristics
    • The safety section when scheduling a meeting
