Google Staff in the 4G and 5G: the test is started, @BitFeedCo.

Among the many failings that Google’s Staff has had since the beginning, there are some that are being placed just now at a distance of months. Among these, there are two that have been requested by users practically from the first day of operation of the service: support for all Android smartphones (here our article for more detailed information) and the support for streaming via 4G and 5G.

Both of these features have been added to Google’s Staff through the “experiments“, that is, of the beta tests, that any user can participate.

You can enable the function by starting the app Staff on the phone by tapping the avatar and browsing in the Experiments of the settings menu. Keep in mind that Google is currently implementing the function for users, then you might not immediately see the option.

Digging inside the APK file of the latest version of the Google Staff, it has been discovered that the consumption data on the mobile network (regardless of whether it is 4G or 5G) is about 2.7 GB each time. To put it in perspective the use of the data, the games streaming at 720p on WiFi consume about 4.5 GB every hour. It is reasonable to expect, therefore, that the streaming on the mobile network is done at 720p at 30 FPS or even to 480p.

There is to say that the Project xCloud Microsoft (we recommend you review the article on our proof) allows the streaming of games via a network 4G or 5G since beta version and we are quite confident that it will be so also when it will be launched in a stable manner in September.

In case you would like to try the Google Staff (the month the Pro subscription is free) for the first time (logging in and then also test for streaming in 4G and 5G), you can simply click on our link below which will take you directly to the dedicated page on the Play Store.
