Microsoft Surface Duo to launch pad | Bluetooth Certification @BitFeedCo.

Microsoft has never had much success in the smartphone market, with the purchase of Nokia and the development of Windows Phone who were not able to counter the strategic dominance of Apple and Google. This is also the reason why the company has chosen to use Android changing all your strategy in the mobile market. The new cycle of the company in the mobile market will culminate in a few weeks with the official launch of the new Microsoft Surface Duo.

Of it and of its form factor dual display we talked about it several times, so much so that the company has already formally announced the end of 2019, promising an arrival in time for the christmas holidays.

But it seems that the arrival is much closer than expected, with the Microsoft Surface the Duo that was already certified by Bluetooth SIG. Usually, in fact, the certification bodies are the last step prior to commercialization.

By certification, we have learned only the presence of the support to the Bluetooth protocol 5.0 even if, for the most part, the specifications we already know. They may, however, be problematic for those who always want the latest components, since it is expected that the Duo be powered from the mobile platform Snapdragon 855. The chips to 7nm has been widely used on Android phones peak of last year but has now been replaced by the Snapdragon 865 and the Snapdragon 865 Plus.

While it may not be considered a problem by many, the Microsoft Surface Duo could be considered “obsolete” even before the sale, even if, having regard to the target business users, the thing that matters most is the optimization software.

However, to support the SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 there should be 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB or 256 GB of internal memory.
