Galaxy Tab, the S7 and its Plus variant does not seem to be the only tablet that Samsung was going to present shortly. If, however, the high-end devices we already know (almost) everything thanks to the numerous rumors, pictures, print, and live photos recently appeared on the net, equally can’t be said for the Galaxy Tab A7.
Already the name allows us to identify it as a product of the mid-range or low-to-medium, but the information that we have available are not sufficient to frame it in a more defined way. The data come from the certification bodies, the Bluetooth SIG and the FCC: the first reveals for the first time the commercial name of the device – Galaxy Tab A7, in fact – and the support to the Bluetooth 5.0, the second provides details on the size: 247,6×157,3 (lacking thickness) for 293,37 mm diagonal, which suggests it’s a tablet with panel at around 10 inches.
The number of the model that emerged is more than one:
- SM-T505 (this is on the portal Bluetooth SIG and the FCC)
To bring clarity in this regard is the documentation of the Bluetooth SIG: SM-T500 is the variant with WiFi only, the other also incorporates the antennas for the 4G LTE connection. In support of these (scarce) information, we find an image schematic published by the FCC in which it is shown in the back of the tablet. Also in this case there is unfortunately not much more to analyze, if not that you can see the presence of a single rear camera. It is not surprising, in view of the market segment in which this model of the device you are going to place.
Finally, we remind you that Samsung is reportedly developing an additional tablet mid-range, presumably belonging to the range Galaxy Tab model SM-T575 has recently appeared on GeekBench, revealing the presence of the Exynos processor 9810 that already are inside of the Galaxy S9 and S9+.
