The models of the iPhone 12 Pro will have 6 GB of RAM Rumor
A loyal leaker has shared more details about the next generation of Apple’s iPhone, claiming that the iPhone 12 Pro will have 6 GB of RAM.
Apple should implement the chip A14 built with a new process to 5 nanometers in the iPhone this year, but details about the hardware are still unclear. According to @L0vetodream, the new System On a Chip (SoC), will lead to an increase of the RAM on the two models of iPhone 12 Pro.
Through a mysterious tweet, the leaker suggests that the Pro line will have 6 GB of RAM, while lower end models will remain with 4 GB of RAM. In comparison, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max are equipped with a chip A13 with 4 GB of RAM.
The additional RAM will allow the iPhone to handle more calculations, which should allow the simultaneous opening of multiple apps or browser tabs in the background. Apple could also decide to increase the RAM on models Pro so that they can better manage the scanner, or LiDAR.
It is worth mentioning that the leaker has predicted correctly several announcements of Apple this year, from the new iPad Pro with a Magic Keyboard to the new design of macOS Big Sur.
