BenQ has announced the release of the first two monitors belonging to the series MOBIUZ. The models coming in are addressed to the players (such as the model EX2780Q), and share all characteristics with the exception of the diagonal. No ex2710 uses a panel IPS LCD Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) by 27″ with LED backlight. EX2510 replica of the same identical specifications, but on a screen by up to 24.5″. The data reported include a maximum brightness of 400 cd/m2 – nits, viewing angle 178° along both axes, and a refresh rate of 144 Hz.

The response time is 1 ms system mprt (Moving Picture Response Time) or 2 ms grey to grey (GtG). The monitor covers 99% of sRGB color space. Are the supported video HDR in the format HDR10. BenQ has also added the function in the HDRi, a proprietary solution developed to optimize the performance of the high dynamic range depending on the type of content.

How does it work? HDRi has an effect on the curve that we measure in all the reviews of TV and projectors. In simpler words, is a different balance between light and dark to alter the perception of contrast and brightness depending on what you look at, for example, a film or a video game.

BenQ claims that the HDRi is able to preserve the correct playback of the movies and treat differently the games. The Game Mode favors the intelligibility of the framework, and thus plays an important role in some areas to bring out more details. The color saturation is increased in the same way, following specific criteria for each type of material. The Cinema Mode, for example, can show a blue more vivid compared to the other video mode.

HDRi can finally simulate an HDR effect for all sources SDR (dynamic range standard). No ex2710 and EX2510 are equipped with an integrated brightness sensor that can change the settings in function of the amount of light present in the environment. The budget also includes Black eQualizer, which is useful to make more clear the dark areas and allow, for example, to see more easily the enemy hidden in the dark. This function can be combined to the Light Tuner with 20 available settings.

The monitor MOBIUZ also include Scenario Mapping: users can save different settings depending on the game and to the source and recall them quickly via the menu Quick OSD and joystick Navigator on the back. Compatibility with FreeSync Premium allows you to take advantage of the refresh rate variable, and to minimize effects like “tearing” and “stutter”. Complete the equipment of the functions developed to preserve the health of the eyes, they speak specifically to the reduction of blue light and solutions to eliminate the flickering (flickering of the images).

The audio section has been edited from the audio engineers TreVolo of the BenQ and uses the two speakers of 2.5 W each. There are 2 inputs HDMI 2.0 with HDCP 2.2 and 1 input DisplayPort 1.2. The table stand allows you to adjust the height, tilt, and rotate the screen. No ex2710 and EX2510 will be available from September , respectively, at the price of 299,99 euro and 259,99 euro.
