This week, Apple’s Music has launched a new initiative called “Africa Rising” on the discovery of new artists with a playlist of accompanying, which will highlight emerging musicians from africa.
As part of the program “Africa Rising“, the editorial staff of Apple’s Music will select an artist from the continent every two months to put it in evidence. A playlist of the accompaniment will also contain tracks of some of the more recent emerging artists of Africa. The first choice of Apple’s Music is ‘omah Lay, a native of Nigeria, known for his debut album, afro-fusion “Get Layd“.
I’ve always used Apple’s Music, seeing my favorite artists on the covers and on the functionality of the playlist, and now I am the first artist of the initiative “Africa Rising” of Apple’s Music. I am overwhelmed, the dreams become reality.
Other artists in the playlist include Rowing, Fireboy DML, Terri, and Sha Sha.
The launch of the playlist, and the program follows the debut of the radio program Beats 1 focused on Africa, “Africa Now Radio with Cuppy“.
