And in the end it seems they are to return really: we are talking about the notifications of app updates on the Play Store, removed inexplicably from Google at the beginning of the year and whose possible return had already been anticipated by some lines of code contained in the version 19.0.2 of the store.

The first reports are, as always, by the United States, where some users would have started to observe the pop-up notifications only on a small number of devices updated to the beta of Android 11 and with the Play Store version 20.7.16-all [0] [PR] 317546459.

The option for notification of the update would be present even within the Settings of Google Play, where it can be activated or not to your liking (see fig. the last image in the gallery).

To be able to put this to the test, the colleagues of Android Police have tried to replicate the configuration of the users, without any success; a clear sign that the activation of the notification can depend on from an update server-side is rather limited, the distribution of which is to be expanded only in the course of the next few weeks.
