iOS 14 includes a new detection system of the liquid inside of the iPhone, which now allows users to ignore the feature of automatic disabling of the charging designed to prevent internal damage to the device.
This news sends an alert when the system detects the presence of liquid inside the iPhone, with the ability to decide whether to leave off or re-enable the charging function.
When it detects humidity in the port Lightning iPhone, iOS displays the notification of “Charging not available” or “Detected liquid in the Lightning connector“. The alert recommends that you disconnect the iPhone from the outlet, since the battery may “damage your iPhone“. If iOS 13 the system was going to automatically turn off the charging in the presence of liquid or moisture in the connector, now with iOS 14, the user can choose to ignore the warning and continue to charge the device.
