The british Cambridge Audio (which has recently integrated Roon on readers network CXN V2 and EDGE NQ) has extended the range of AX with the tuner-amplifier stereo AXR100D with DAB radio tuner/FM. The product comes in a classic design, and size in the media for his class of membership. The measurements are 110 (h) x 430 (L) x 340 (W) mm.
The amplifier section delivers 100 W per channel on 8 ohm with a total harmonic distortion less than 0.01% (1kHz, 80% of rated output; less than 0.15% 20Hz – 20kHz, 80% of the rated power). The data sheet also shows a frequency response ranging between 5 Hz and 50 kHz (-1dB) and a signal/noise ratio greater than 82 dB.
On the front side are a headset jack to jack 6.3 mm and an analog input jack 3.5 mm. Other available connections include Bluetooth 5.0 (A2DP/AVRCP with support for SBC), two optical digital inputs and one coaxial, and three analog inputs on RCA, one phono MM (Moving Magnet), the output for a recorder, the output to connect a subwoofer and the connectors to connect two pairs of speakers.
AXR100D is proposed at the price of 499 pounds (about 560 euros) and will be available starting this month. Price and availability for the Italy were not yet disclosed.
