According to new data shared by Parks Associates, the 9% of households in the united states, has activated a subscription for Apple TV+.
The report places Apple TV+ to fifth place in the list of platforms the most popular streaming, behind Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, and Disney+. Apple exceeds reality as HBO Now and Showtime.
Apple TV +, launched in the same period, Disney +, has not seen a growth so explosive in recent months. However, with a promotional offer linked to the purchase of Apple devices and a small stable of original programming, the service has reached the adoption of almost 10%.
The study also shows that most of the subscribers Apple TV+ and Disney+ subscribe even to Hulu, Amazon Prime Video and Netflix. The report also suggests that approximately 69% of subscribers Apple TV + has canceled another video service in the last 12 months.
In general, subscribers to the streaming service of Apple in the United States should be around 10 million, even if many (about 50%) are those who activate the 12 months free of charge after the purchase of a device.
The risk is that the number of subscribers decreases significantly in the autumn, when many users do not confirm the subscription payment. To avoid these risks, Apple is developing a number of original content, and is considering the idea to offer movies and series that are not original.
And you, what will you do?
