The TV 8K Sony series ZH8 will arrive in stores from the beginning of June. This series, as well as the ZG9 2019, using panels of the LCD type must BE 10-bit with a refresh rate to 100/120 Hz. The backlight is Full LED Array Local Dimming with 8K X-tended Dynamic Range PROtechnology, which optimizes the dynamic range, extending it at both ends (black level and peak brightness). Two models are planned: 75″ and 85″.
The video processor is theX1 the Ultimate with 8K X-Reality PRO (handles the upscaling), an electronic system that Sony now offers for some time, and has been able to be appreciated for the goodness of the processing that can apply to your images. Super Resolution, “object-based” analyzes the image in each scene to increase the level of detail in every single object (particulars identified by the video processor).
The re-mastering HDR “object-based”, applies the same concept to the video in HDR while the Super Bit Mapping 4K HDR recreates transitions more soft, uniform, and precise in the nuances of color. The processing of the motion is entrusted to the X-Motion Clarity, a technology that combines the control of the backlight with other solutions to increase detail and possibly also the fluidity.
The most significant event of the 2020 function is the Ambient Optimization, a technology that leverages the light sensors, and microphones to measure conditions of the environment and the impact that these can have on images. The data obtained are then used to adjust the video and audio settings in order to ensure an optimal experience in any condition. There is obviously support HDR formats HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision.
The audio section is characterized by the system of the Acoustic Multi-Audio with Frame Tweeter. There are two speakers full range, along the bottom edge, two woofers for the low frequencies to the rear and the tweeters placed at the top along the edges to expand the sound in the vertical. All the speakers are managed by amps dedicated. The listening is then made even more engaging thanks to the compatibility with Dolby Atmos.
The Smart TV is based on Android TV 9.0 with the Play Store, Chromecast and Google Assistant integrated, AirPlay 2 and HomeKit. Connecting external speakers you can take advantage of both the voice assistant of Google and Alexa Amazon. The series ZH8 also provides the Netflix Calibrated Mode and IMAX Enhanced in 2020 will come a lot more movies that are optimized for the IMAX-Enhanced), two-mode, developed to ensure a vision that is respectful of the creative will and desired by the directors.
