Google the Meet takes advantage of the moment and is in excess of 50 million downloads on the Play Store @BitFeedCo.

One of the consequences of the lockdown general that we have lived from a few weeks to this part is the closing of schools and offices. This means that many of the meetings or, in the case of the school, the lessons, you are transformed into virtual. And it is not a coincidence then that the two main applications have seen incredible growth on the Play Store, you can Zoom in and Google Meet.

The app developed by Google still has a long way to go to reach the numbers of Zoom, but, at least in the Play Store, has just reached the very important milestone of 50 million downloads.

The app has become increasingly popular since march as evidence of AppBrain. Has passed 5 million installs at the beginning of march, so it has passed quickly 10 millions and 20 millions in the following days, up to surpass 50 million in the last hour. The service was free of charge exclusively to users of GSuite but, seeing the incredible success, the company announced that it would be made available free of charge to all.

For the uninitiated, Google the Meet allows you to:

  • Host a video meeting with unlimited high-definition
  • Use the Meet in safety: the meeting video are encrypted in transit, and the proactive measures anti-abuse ensure the safety of your meetings
  • Easy access: simply share a link and invited guests may attend with a single click from a desktop web browser or through the mobile app Google Meet
  • Share your screen to present documents, presentations and much more
  • Subtitles in real time powered by Google technology to convert the voice into text

In case you have not yet downloaded the app, you can simply click on our link below which will take you directly to the dedicated page on the Play Store.
