The images today of the new soundbar, Sonos have been leaked online thanks to the blog Zatz Not Funny! The rumors about this product are circulating now for a few days and should materialize in the next 6 may, the day on which Sonos has scheduled an important announcement, so much so that the company wrote on Twitter “did you Not want to lose.” The device on arrival – one of the three: there is also talk of an updated version of the Play:5 and a new subwoofer that would replace the Sonos Sub is a soundbar that should be on a higher band than the Sonos Beam and that would replace the current Playbar.

The images show the product from various sides, but do not provide a complete overview of the connectors on the back. The information – always unofficial – speak to an HDMI input with ARC (audio return channel, we’ll see if it will be of eARC, or the base form) and, above all, of the support to the two technologies not present on the current Playbar. We are referring to AirPlay 2 Apple (supported by Sonos Beam) and Dolby Atmos, the audio format of “objects” developed by Dolby.

The new soundbar should be even larger than the previous one: the number would be reduced from 900 cm Playbar to about 114 cm model’s arrival. This change would provide a greater separation between the front channels. Regarding connectivity, some little anticipation comes from the FCC, in a document – associated to an identifier that would correspond to the new product – shows the presence of Wi-Fi.

Appointment Wednesday for more detail with the confirmation or denial of these rumors.
