TikTok of more than 2 billion downloads

According to the latest data of the Sensor Tower, TikTok has exceeded 2 billion downloads on iOS and Android.

The report states:

The app TikTok of ByteDance has been downloaded over 2 billion times globally on the App Store and on Google Play, according to the estimates of Sensor Tower Store Intelligence.

The latest milestone comes just five months after that TikTok has passed the 1.5 billion download. In the first quarter of 2020, has generated the most number of downloads for any app in a quarter, amassing more than 315 million installs on the App Store and Google Play.

Sensor Tower observes that, even if the app was already popular only in the Q1 2020 has recorded about 315 million downloads, as consumers are attracted to their mobile devices more than ever while looking for new ways to shop, work, and connect with others.“

The largest number of downloads until today, it has been registered in India, with 611 million (30.3 percent of the total). The second place is China with 196 million, although the chinese version of the app is known as Douyin. The United States ranks at the third place with 165 million downloads.

It is interesting to note that the vast majority of download Tiktok up to now comes from Google Play, which is the 75,5%. The App Store for iOS is only 24.5%. Despite this, the App Store has helped to generate for TikTok 435,3 million dollars through in-app purchases, while Google Play only 21.4 million dollars.
